Notes: Studies on the Beesoniidae, gall-inducing coccoids associated mainly with Dipterocarpaceae, are reviewed with emphasis on some aspects unusual in coccoides. Diversity in morphologies is discussed with particular reference to divesity in galls and supposed behavioural peculiarities. The occurrence of a great number of unknown forms is expected on the basis of mainly herbarial surveys, from which is prepared a list of dipterocarps bearing galls induced by undetermined beesoniids or unknown organisms that are probably coccoids.
