Notes: A population of the Indian wax scale (Ceroplastes ceriferus) was detected in Budapest, Bikáspark (Hungary) in November 2016, which is a new species to the Hungarian fauna. Overwintering females were found on hybrid plane (Platanus x acerifolia), mullberry (Morus alba) and silver maple (Acer saccharinum). Potentially invasive species; wide variety of fruit crops and ornamental plants can be a host plant.
