Song, S.L., Huang, B.K., & Huang, M.F. 1990 [Population dynamics and integrated control of Unaspis yanonensis Kuwana.]. Acta Phytophylacica Sinica 17: 3, 233-236.

Notes: Observations in Fujian Province, China, showed that the diaspidid Unaspis yanonensis, an important pest of Citrus, produced 3 generations annually, with 4 generations in minority, and overwintered as female adults and partly in the larval form. Peaks in numbers of 1st-instar larvae occurred in late April for the 1st generation, early to mid-July for the 2nd generation and early September to early October for the 3rd generation, with the greatest density shown by the 1st generation. Effective methods for its control were removal of infested twigs and branches, spraying with 40% omethoate and releasing the nitidulid Cybocephalus nipponicus in the orchard.
