Smith, R.F., & Huffaker, C.B. 1973 Integrated control strategy in the United States and its practical implementation.. EPPO (European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization) Bulletin 3(3): 31-49.

Notes: A major research effort in the United States to develop practical integrated control programs for six major agro-ecosystems utilizing, among a broad array of tactics, systems analysis is described. Problems associated with the implementation of pest management systems are outlined with examples given from tobacco programs in North Carolina and cotton programs in California and Texas. Parasites that feed on Unaspis citri, a major pest of citrus in Florida, have been among those sepcies imported.
