Notes: The discovery that Comperiella bifasciata, which in the Orient is undoubtedly the most effective of the red scale parasites (Chrysomphalus aurantii, would not develop on the California race of red scale was a great disappointment. This report discusses the hope that C. bifasciata will prove to be of practical value on the yellow scale in California.
