Smith, H.S., & Compere, H. 1931 Introduced parasites successfully control the citrophilus mealybug.. Journal of Economic Entomology 24(5): 942-945.

Notes: Pseudococcus gahani, an accidental introduction from Australia, has been a major citrus pest for several years. Fair control has been maintained by the propagation and distribution of Cryptolaemus. The introduction of two chalcidoid parasites from Australia, Coccophagus gurneyi Compere and Tetracnemus pretiosus Timberlake, has resulted in perfect control of the pest.
