Notes: The distribution, host range, biology and ecology of the newly imported horse chestnut scale Pulvinaria regalis Canard (Homoptera, Coccoidea) on urban trees in some urban areas of the northern Rheinland were observed and studied. P. regalis spread from Bonn to Bruhl, Cologne and Dusseldorf and attacked not just horse chestnut (Aesculus spp.), maple (Acer spp.) and lime (Tilia spp.) but also chinatree (Koelreuteria paniculata), flowering dogwood (Cornus florida) and magnolia (Magnolia acuminata).
