Notes: The authors report the presence in Italy of the armoured scale Entaspidiotus lounsburyi on Disphyma crassifolium (L.) L. Bol. (Mesembryanthemaceae). This is a new record for the Palearctic Region. The armoured scale was found on sprouts very close to the ground and the infested plants, also with high population density of the insect, don't suffer seemingly real damage. An identification key of the Italian species belonging to Selenaspidus group is also given.
