Notes: This study analysed the occurrence of oosorption and the role of honey in the process of oosorption in C. montrouzieri. Newly emerged females previously fed with Planococcus citri were submitted to periods of 24 h, 48 h, 72 h, and 96 h of complete starvation and four, eight and twelve days of feeding on honey. After these periods, females were dissected, and their ovaries were compared to those of females fed with P. citri for 11 days. Honey was insufficient to prevent oosorption; however, it increased the minimum time needed to complete oosorption to twelve days. https://doi.org/10.1080/07924259.2025.2505412
