Rivnay, E. 1961 The phenology and status of Planococcus citri in the citrus groves in Israel.. Israel Journal of Agricultural Research 11: 2.

Notes: Four years of periodical survey showed that P. citri is found on the tree throughout the year. It may be found on the fruit fromMay or June until it is picked. Fromearly winter onwards, migration takes place into the interior of the tree. P. citri may hasten the dropping of fruits from weak trees, but it is not the primary cause of fruit drop. The presence of the pest on weeds appears to be merely incidental.
