Rao, C.V.N., Venugopala Rao, N., & Bhavani, B. 2006 Field evaluation of sugarcane germplasm against key pests.. Indian Journal of Plant Protection 34: 181-183

Notes: Experiments were conducted in Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India, during 2002-04 to evaluate sugarcane genotypes for resistance to early shoot borer, internode borer Chilo infuscatellus and scale insect Melanaspis glomerata. The genotype 2000 A 62 was found promising by recording significantly less incidence of early shoot borer (15.9%), while 2000 A 225 against internode borer (1.8% intensity). The genotype 2000 A 133 recorded least intensity of scale insect and weight of scale encrustation. Genotype 2000 A 113 registered significantly high sucrose (18.4%) and genotype 2000 A 226 registered high cane yield of 91.9 t/ha.
