Notes: C. nigritus and P. horni are the important indigenous predators of the sugarcane scale insect, Melanaspis glomerata. The duration of life cycle of the two predators in different months of the year was studied. The variation due to seasonal conditions was found to differ with the species. Both predators were found to exhibit significant variation in the duration of life cycle.
