Notes: Scale insect, Melanaspis glomerata Green is one of the most destructive pests of sugarcane in Andhara Pradesh. It has several species of indigenous and exotic parasites, as well as a few predators. Among the exotic Coccinellid predators, Chiloconus cacti L. is one of the most important natural enemies of this scale in this state.
