Notes: Population estimates of the cottony-cushion scale, Icerya purchasi Maskell were obtained from two Acacia baileyana F. von Mueller trees in Adelaide, South Australia. Most scales were located within 50 cm of the tip of the twig. Scales were present throughout the year, mostly in very low numbers, and complete two annual generations i.e. from April to October and from November to April.
