Podsiadlo, E. 1981 [Parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera, Chalcidoidea) reared from females of the globose scale - Sphaerolecanium prunastri (Fonscolombe) in Warsaw (Homoptera, Coccidae).]. Polskie Pismo Entomologiczne 51(1): 153-158.

Notes: During a laboratory study carried out in Poland, females of Sphaerolecanium prunastri (Boy.), a pest of sloe, were reared individually and examined for parasites; 80.47% were found to have been parasitised by chalcidoids. These were the primary parasites Discodes coccophagus (Ratz.), Metaphycus silvestrii Sugonyaev and Microterys hortulanus Erdos, and the hyperparasites Pachyneuron muscarum (L.) (concolor (Forst.)), Cerapterocerus mirabilis Westw. and Coccophagus lycimnia (Wlk.). The maximum number of parasites reared from a single host was nine (Cerapterocerus mirabilis); seven were obtained in the case of D. coccophagus and also Metaphycus silvestrii plus Coccophagus lycimnia.
