Notes: Abstract: Emulsions of degummed soybean (Glycine max) oil is compared to a petroleum oil emulsion for efficacy against winter populations of Quadraspidiotus perniciosus (family: Diaspididae) and Panonychus ulmi on dormant apple trees (Malus domestica); treatment also performed on Mesolecanium nigrofasciatum (family: Coccidae) on dormant peach trees (Prunus persica); results indicate that soybean oil shows promise as a substitute for petroleum oil for winter control of three very destructive fruit tree pests.
