Notes: This paper reports the first record of the exotic wax scale Ceroplastes ceriferus (Fabricius) in Emilia-Romagna. This record is the second citation for Italy and probably for Europe, too. Its single generation/year confirms its occurrence since at least 1997 by the presence of dead overwintering adult females in October 1998, near the first adult living females observed.
