Panis, A., & Martin, H.E. 1976 Cochenilles des plantes cultivées en République Dominicaine (Homoptera, Coccoidea) (Première Liste). [Scale insects of cultivated plants in the Dominican Republic (Homoptera, Coccoidea) (first list).].. Bulletin Mensuel de la Société Linnéenne de Lyon 45(1): 7-8.

Notes: A list is given of 9 polyphagous species of scale-insects, of 3 families, that were found on various tropical or subtropical cultivated plants in the Dominican Republic. Conchaspis cordiae Mamet, which is the most interesting from the zoogeographical point of view, was known only from Saint Croix (Virgin Islands), where it attacked Cordia sp. and mahogany (probably Swietenia mahagoni). In the Dominican Republic it was found on mahogany and sea grape (Coccoloba uvifera), the latter being a new food-plant record for this conchaspidid; no morphological differences were observed between populations on the 2 food-plants.
