Panis, A. 1986 Biological features of Pseudococcus affinis (Mask.) (Homoptera, Pseudococcidae) as guidelines of its control in water-sprinkled citrus orchards.. Integrated Pest Control in Citrus-Groves (Proceedings of the Experts' Meeting. Acireale, 26-29 March 1985.) Published for the Commission of the European Communities by A.A. Balkema Rotterdam, Netherlands; Boston 600 pp.
Notes: Pseudococcus affinis (Maskell) is a new pest of French Riviera citriculture, particularly damaging to clementines. Chemical control is only partially successful. As a result of a biological study, two behavioural features, i.e. sheltering and crawling, explain partial inefficacy of insecticides. Solutions are proposed.
