Notes: This study aims to optimise the dyeing of cotton using Mexican cochineal to achieve purple hues, using statistical tools such as DOE and multivariate analysis. The variables considered for optimising the dyeing process in this study were collected from the oral and written traditions preserved over the years by Mexican indigenous people.
