Notes: The authors have found on the Alps of the valley of Aosta Arctoribezia cataphracta (Olafsen), a scale new for Italy. It is a borealalpine species, already known for Alaska, Kamchatka and northern Europe (Greenland, Ireland, Scotland, Lapland, Foroyar Islands, Hebrides Islands, Svalbard Islands, Soviet Union). A. cataphracta afterwaqrds was found on mountains of the central and southern Europe (in Spain, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, southern Gedrmany, Austria). In Italy also the species is polyphagous.
