Neuenschwander, P., Hammond, W.N.O., Gutierrez, A.P., Cudjoe, A.R., Adjakloe, R., Baumgärtner, J.U., & Regev, U. 1989 Impact assessment of the biological control of the cassava mealybug, Phenacoccus manihoti Matile-Ferrero (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae), by the introduced parasitoid Epidinocarsis lopezi (De Santis) (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae).. Bulletin of Entomological Research 79: 579-594.
Notes: Abstract: Survey of 60 farmers' fields in Ghana & Ivory Coast taken; densities of P. manihoti closely correlated with stunting of cassava shoot tips; length of time E. lopezi present in area was most important factor influencing mealybug densities; P. manihoti populations higher in Savannah zone (which showed greater effect from E. lopezi) than in forest zone. Keywords: biological control.
