Notes: [Proceedings subtitle: Plant protection (entomology, microbiology, nematology, plant pathology and rodentology). Conference held in Ootacamund (Nilgiris) in June 1979.] When 7 insecticides were applied twice in sprays at a concentration of 0.1% and interval of 1 month in the field in Karnataka, India, against Planococcus lilacinus (Ckll.) on cocoa, the order of effectiveness in reducing the percentage of shoots and pods infested by the mealybug was monocrotophos = fenthion more than phosphamidon = quinalphos more than dimethoate more than phosalone more than endosulfan. There was no significant difference in their relative efficacy.
