Nachev, P., & Grenchev, G. 1987 [Acarofauna hosted by some Coccidae occurring in Bulgaria.]. Pochvoznanie Agrokhimiya i Rastitelna Zasgtuta 22(6): 81-86.
Notes: The species Chyreophagus entomophagus, Cheletogenes ornatus, Cheyletia flabellifera, Chemisarcoptes malus, Amblyseius cucumeris and Bdella iconica have been observed under the shields of Coccidae Spherolecanium prunastri, Parlatoria olea, Quadrispidiotus marani and Quadrispidiotus piri which infest branches of plum, peach and apricot trees. The highest frequency of occurrence has been recorded for T. entomophagus which is believed to feed on larva skins and living Coccidae. The rest of the species occur more rarely. The species reported affected the population density of coccidae. They themselves often reach high population densities.
