Myartseva, S.N., & Ruíz Cancino, E. 2011 [Parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoides) of Coccus (Hemiptera: Coccidae) associated to Citrus in Mexico]. Dugesiana 18(1): 65-72
Notes: Soft scales of the genus Coccus (Hemiptera: Coccidae) have immportance as pests in citrus and other crops around the world. Citrus twigs and leaves samples, infested with soft scales, were taken in five states of the Mexican Republic, obtaining four parasitoid species from two families of Hymenoptera (Aphelinidae and Encyrtidae). Literature includes another eleven species, so the total is 15 parasitic species of Coccus in Mexico. A taxonomical key to the species of Coccophagus (Aphelinidae) and Metaphycus (Encyrtidae) was done, also a brief review of each parasitic species was included.
