Notes: English title: [Population fluctuation of Mytilococcus beckii (Newman 1869) (Homoptera, Diaspididae) on Valencia orange (Citrus sinensis L.) Osbeck, in Taquari, Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil).] This research was carried out at Estaçao Experimental Fitotécnica de Taquari-RS, Brazil to study population fluctuation of Mytilococcus beckii (Newman, 1869) in a 'Valencia' orange orchard. The specimens on both sides of the leaves, and of all developmental stages except for first stage nymphs, were plotted. Meteorological data were also reported in order to study the influence of climatic conditions on the population fluctuation. Results showed that the insect population was higher in the central and northeast blocks, as well as in the north and south quadrants of the trees, from April to May. Climatic conditions were not shown to affect population fluctuations.
