Notes: The biology, injuriousness and control of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. albedinis, Oligonychus afrasiaticus and Parlatoria blanchardii on date palms in Mauritania are described. Spray applications of sulfur against the tetranychid are recommended, but biological control is advocated against P. blanchardii. Of four coccinellids introduced as potential biological control agents, three were destroyed by the pathogen Gregarina katherina. Chilocorus bipustulatus rapidly became acclimatized and effective against P. blanchardii. Methods of rearing coccinellids that were used are described.
