Notes: A new pest for Croatia-scale insect Peliococcus turanicus (Kiritshenko, 1931) was discovered on pea. This scale insect was found on island Cres. Pea has not been registered as a host of P. turanicus. In addition to the first finding, the paper deals with distribution and significance of this pest in the world, its morphology and ecology.
