Memorias del 6to Congreso Nacional y 4to Congreso Internacional.] Survival, reproduction and population growth rates for Dactylopius coccus reared on Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill. at several constant temperatures are reported. The temperature exerts influence on developmental times of D. coccus. When the temperature increases, the length of the biological cycle decreases the probability that the insect will reach the adult stage. Optimimum temperatures were identified.
