Notes: Abstract: Data on the prey and host range of the 18 known species of the genus Elatophilus are discussed; there is sufficient data to hypothesize an almost worldwide linkage among the triad Elatophilus, Matsucoccus and Pinus; this may indicate the occurrence of Matsucoccus where rare species of Elatophilus are recorded.
