Notes: Rodolia cardinalis imported 70 years ago for the control of I. purchasi in Israel; equilibrium established below the economic level for most susceptible vegetations; however, cottony cushion scale population not kept under control by this beetle when it develops on some Leguminosae, such as Spartium junceum and Erythrina corallodendrum or species of Menispermaceae such as Cocculus larifolius; Cryptochaetum iceryae has been more successful for control.
