Notes: From the collection of Kahler, Matrahegyi and Thaler, made in Austria, 7 previously unrecorded species from 3 families were discovered: Pulvinaria (Eupulvinaria) hydrangeae Steinweden, Kaweckia (Eriococcus) glyceriae (Green), Scythia craniumequinum Kiritchenko, Heliococcus bohemicus Sulc, Lichtensia viburni (Signoret), Phenacoccus karaberdi Borchsenius & Ter-Gregorian, Spilococcus nanae Schmutterer. With regard to its significance, P. hydrangeae is an important pest of civic ornamental plants and H. bohemicus is an important grape-pest. P. karaberdi is a new species in Europe and S. nanae is a new species in Central-Europe, and its southest range is Austria.
