Mao, H. 1986 [Seasonal change of the insect community on Japanese red pine and black pine.]. Japanese Journal of Applied Entomology and Zoology 30(3): 201-204.

Notes: The results are presented of a study conducted in May-November 1985 in Japan of seasonal changes in the insect communities of Japanese red pines [Pinus densiflora] and Japanese black pines [P. thunbergii]. Observations were made of seasonal variations in the number of individuals of the diaspidid Lepidosaphes pini [Insulaspis pini], the aphids Cinara piniformosana and Eulachnus thunbergii, the margarodid Matsucoccus matsumurae and the pseudococcid Drosicha pinicola, as well as of other insect populations.
