Mani, M., & Krishnamoorthy, A. 1997c Suppression of Planococcus citri (Risso) on sapota.. Pest Management in Horticultural Ecosystems 3(1): 45-47.
Notes: The impact of natural enemies on Planococcus citri on sapota (Manilkara zapota) was studied in Bangalore, India, during 1996. The mean number of pseudococcids per shoot was 82.50. A maximum of 36.41 individuals of the encyrtid Coccidoxenoides peregrinus was collected on 15 January. A significant relationship between P. citri and this parasitoid was observed. At a different location, P. citri was observed during the 1st week of March, with 94.37 individuals/shoot. The encyrtid Leptomastix dactylopii was active up to the 1st week of April. A significant relationship between the host and parasitoid populations was observed.
