Lu, Y.D. 1989 Studies on experimental populations of citrus red scale using life tables and the role of parasites in the control of a natural population.. Studies on the Integrated Management of Citrus Insect Pests. Academic Book & Periodical Press Guangzhou, Guangdong, China
Notes: Abstract: Analysis of the growth of experimental populations of Aonidiella aurantii indicated that populations could be predicted accurately; intrinsic rates of increase were greater for diaspidids reared on fruits than those of diaspidids reared on leaves or twigs; endoparasitoid Encarsia citrina and ectoparasitoid Aphytis lingnanensis were the most important factors controlling the diaspidid population, which had a relatively low equilibrium density; E. citrina was more effective than A. lingnanensis.
