Notes: Species and parasitic situation of mangrove scale insects in Guangxi were investigated,and the soluble sugar,tannin content and water content of different host leaves were measured to analyze the preference of scale insects for feeding. The preference of the scale insects had positive correlation with water content and soluble sugar of mangrove plants,and had negative correlation with the tannin content.
