Labanowski, G.S., & Soika, G. 1999a [Laboratory investigations on the gall aphids and coccids control.] Badania laboratoryjne nad zwalczaniem ochojnikow i czerwcow.. Progress in Plant Protection 39(1): 165-171.

Notes: During 1994-98, laboratory tests of effectiveness of insecticides against gall aphids and coccids were carried out. For destroying larvae of yew scale (Parthenolecanium pomeranicum), juniper scale (Carulaspis juniperi), larch adelges (Adelges laricis) and spruce pineapple-gall adelges (Sacchiphantes abietis [Adelges abietis]), the following were applied: soap (Savonil Super), mixture of gamal, deterlon and rokafenol (Aphidol, Savonil), acetamiprid (Mospilan 20 SP), imidacloprid (Confidor 200 SL), mixture of imidacloprid and methiocarb (Provado AF), paraffin oil [kerosene] (Floril AF, Promanal AF, Promanal 60 EC), carbosulfan (Marshal 250 EC and Marshal 250 CS), carbamates (Pirimicarb 25 WG, Pirimix 100 PC), pyrethroids (Fastac 10 EC, Polcyp 40 SL) and pirimiphos-methyl (Actellic 500 EC). Most of tested insecticides showed satisfactory results for immediate and long-term destruction of conifer pests during autumn-winter and in summer.
