Kuniyuki, H., & Costa, A.S. 1978 Symptoms of yellow net of grapevine associated with scale insect feeding.. Summa Phytopathologica 4: 32-33.
Notes: [Abstract only.] Yellow net of grapevine leaves, resembling the symptoms of certain virus diseases, has been recorded since 1971 in plants of commercial vineyards in the state of São Paulo. Symptoms are described and transmission tests performed. Observations show that there is a correlation between presence of a scale insect Diaspidiotus uvae (Comstock, 1880) (Homoptera, Diaspididae) in the trunk and branches of affected vines and yellow net symptoms. Recovery of symptoms occurred in new leaves formed after these insects were removed.
