Notes: 139 species of scale insects are reported from three protected areas, collected in 1999-2003. The highest number of species was found in the Kiskunság National Park (89), 54 in the Sashegy, 44 in the Balaton National Park (Szentgyörghegy), 39 in the Fertö-Hanság National Park, and 33 in the Nagykovácsi (Kecskchát). From these data 1 to 4 were new for the Hungarian fauna and 31 to 39 were new for the given locality.
