Notes: The white nango scale, Aulacaspis tubercularis Newstead is for the first time recorded on field pumpkin, Cucurbita pepo L. (Cucurbitaceae) and on Persea sp. (lauraceae) in Colombia. A host-transfer experiment was carried out, and diffrences in the growth rate of A. tubercularis reared on field pumpkin fruit and mango leaves were found. Aulacaspis tubercularis grows about 12 days faster on field pumpkin fruit than on mango leaves.
