Notes: Field trials conducted during 1962-63 in norhtern California on valley oak, Quercus lobata, showed that sprays of carbaryl, dimethoate, diazinon, and malathion, all with oil, gave effective control of Asterolecanium pit scales when applied in early May. The timing of application was studied and recommendations made.
