Notes: Surveys are conducted on the abundance of five species of scale insects infesting the hedge of Euonymus japonicus Thunberg and on the population fluctuation of their efficient predator, Chilocorus kuwanae Silvestri from 1960 to 1963 in Fukuoka. The scale species are Ceroplastes japonicus, Chrysomphalus bifasciculatus, Lepidosaphes corni, Pseudaulacaspis pentagona and Unaspis euonymi.
