Notes: Morphological studies of slide-mounted adult females led to the identification of the pest as Hyalococcus striatus (Russell). The only plant host species recorded for this scale species is Citrus. In the present study, the pest was not found on any other hosts and no ants or natural enemies were seen attending the scale insects.
