Also included are the areas of origin, common names, plant features and the first recorded Australian occurrence for each species. Biological control agents for each cactus are listed along with information on whether these agents are established in Australia and the degree of control achieved by them. Biological control agents for Opuntia stricta and O. tomentosa include Dactylopius confusus and D. echinocacti.
