Pest species recorded in New Zealand are Aonidiella aurantii, Aspidiotus nerii, Aulacaspis rosae, Hemiberlesia lataniae, H. rapax, Lepidosaphes ulmi, Parlatoria pittospori, Pseudaulacaspis (=Phenacaspis) eugeniae, Quadraspidiotus ostreaeformis and Q. perniciosus. Pathogens, parasitoids, predators, importations, releases and recoveries are discussed. Tolerances on imported fruit aggravate the problem of control.
