  • Notes: The objective of this trial, located in a commercial plot of nopal vegetable, in El Vigía locality, Tlalnepantla, State of Morelos, Mexico, was to evaluate a new alternative control of wild cochineal, applying doses, mixtures and frequencies of a bioinsecticide (GreenSoap), that contained of potassium salts of fatty acids and the Mark 1000 insecticide (Malathion 83.7%). The results show that potassium salts of fatty acids constitute a viable alternative for the control of wild cochineal in nopal.
