Hassanein, F.A., & Hamed, A.R. 1985 On the population dynamics of Hemiberlesia lataniae (Signoret) and its parasite Habrolepis aspidioti Compare (Compere?) & Annecke in Egypt (Homoptera: Diaspididae: Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae).. Bulletin of the Entomological Society of Egypt 14: 63-72.

Notes: Hemiberlesia lataniae (Signoret) is one of the important scale insects attacking fruit and certain other ornamental trees in Egypt. It infests fig, guava, pear, apple, grapevines and olive trees. During the course of this present study it was encountered in Nile Delta, Giza and Middle Egypt on fig, olive and Ficus nitida trees. This work was conducted through the years 1981, 1982 with the aim of contributing some of the needed information on the seasonal abundance of H. lataniae on ornamental trees, survey of its natural enemies and evaluation fo the rate of the natural mortality caused by parasites.
