Notes: Seven species are discussed, two that were previously know to infest avocados (Hemiberlesia lataniae and Chrysomphalus aonidum, as well as five newly recorded species (Abgrallaspis cyanophylli, Aspidiotus nerii, A. spinosus, Chrysomphalus aurantii and Fiorinia fioriniae. Distribution, population dynamics, damage, natural enemies, and specific settling pattern of diaspidids are discussed. A key is provided. F. fioriniae was first recorded in Israel.
