Notes: New data on the scale insect (Homoptera: Coccinea) fauna of European Russia, their taxonomy and cytogenetics. Scale insects of European Russia are poorly known compared with neighboring territories. We present new data on the fauna, taxonomy and cytogenetics of scale insects collected in the St. Petersburg region, Central Russia (Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk regions), the North-Western Caucasus, and the Volga River area. Among the collected species, Longicoccus divnogoricus Gavrilov, Antonina evelynae Gavrilov, and Phenacoccus volgensis Gavrilov were new for science. Twenty-eight species in 23 genera and 7 families were studied in terms of karyotype, meiosis, and sex determining system.
