    • Notes: Five species of mealybug (Homoptera: Pseudococcidae) were found to be new for the Canary Islands and more widely – for Macaronesia or for the whole Hesperian (Mediterranean-Macaronesian) zoogeographical region. In addition one species, Phenacoccus guanchorum sp. nov., is described and illustrated as new for science.
